Students’ learning will cover their personal, academic and vocational development. Lessons will be personalised to meet individual needs. Students will not only study core GCSE and Vocational Courses, but considerable emphasis will be placed on students’ personal development throughout the school. As an additional focus of studio schools, students will learn to develop key employability skills. These will be taught and form an integral part of the weekly timetable as well as being assessed and reviewed regularly.
A range of extra-curricular opportunities will also be available to students comprising enrichment activities including sport, Duke of Edinburgh, leadership activities, arts, volunteering and a rich variety of trips and excursions.
The curriculum delivery both through enterprise projects and formal lessons will exploit fully the outdoor classroom of heathland, woodland, rivers and world heritage coastline as well as the estate’s farmlands and park, workshops, machinery, tools and equipment.
